Brake Flush
Details
Brake systems are vital workhorses but they are not indestructible. Parts in the master cylinder, calipers and wheel cylinders deteriorate over time and use. Pieces can flake off which end up in your brake fluid. Compounding this with the natural degradation of the fluid, and moisture that seeps in causing rust, then you have a brake system that is compromised and has decreased stopping power.
How often should this be done?
A good rule of thumb is to have your brakes flushed about every 30,000 miles. Check your manufacturer’s owner’s manual to find the recommended interval for your model.
Besides mileage, what are other signs of brake fluid issues?
There are a few other signs you have a brake fluid issue:
• ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) light comes
• Pedal Problems
• Strange Noises
• Weak Braking
• Burning Smell
If you experience any of these signs, please contact your service professionals at Fausak Tires & Service to discuss the problems and if needed to setup an appointment. Some of these can be serious issues and you should be cautious of operating the vehicle without consulting a professional.
How much does this cost?
Brake Flush (DOT3 or DOT4) $89.99
